Coachlight Bible Study – Revelation Chapter 4

The Things Which Shall Be Hereafter - The Open Door

Now we begin the third and final division of the Book. This division tells us about the things which shall be hereafter, or after the messages to the churches.  The Church disappears from view with the close of the third chapter and is not heard of again until Revelation 19:7-9, where the marriage to the Lamb is foretold.

With the removal of the Church at the beginning of this chapter, God now begins to renew His dealings with Israel, and bring them back to Himself. This part of the Book of Revelation from chapter three through nineteen contains symbols from the Old Testament.  These symbols like the Tabernacle, Ark of the Covenant, Altar, Censer, Elders, Cherubim, Seals, Trumpets, Plagues, etc., demonstrate that God is now dealing with the Jews. The Dispensation of the Church is complete, and the Seventieth Week of Daniel is in now here. Correct interpretation here means we need to find the explanation of these symbols
