The Things Which
Shall Be Hereafter - The Open Door
Now we begin the
third and final division of the Book. This division tells us about the things
which shall be hereafter, or after the messages to the churches. The Church disappears from view with the
close of the third chapter and is not heard of again until Revelation 19:7-9,
where the marriage to the Lamb is foretold.
With the removal of
the Church at the beginning of this chapter, God now begins to renew His dealings
with
I. The Open Door
Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was
opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet
talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which
must be hereafter.

and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
