Coachlight Bible Study – Revelation Chapter 10 – The Things That Shall Be Hereafter – Part VII – The Finished Mystery Of God

This chapter and chapter eleven are another interval or parenthesis.  This interval is positioned between the sixth and seventh trumpets.  The intervals give us an overall view of God’s judgments and mercy during Daniel’s 70th week or the Tribulation Period.  Christ appears to John with a little book in his hand and places one foot on the sea and one foot on the earth.  It is getting time for the Kinsman Redeemer to take possession on His Kingdom.  Christ proclaims What happens when the seventh trumpet does sound; the mystery of God Will Be finished.  Because we are part of this mystery of God, the book of Colossians tells us how to apply the book of Revelation to our lives.

C. Paul Uses The Same Phrase – ‘Mystery Of God’ – In Colossians

Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Colossians 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Colossians 1:29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

Colossians 2:1 ¶ For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

Colossians 2:2  That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

Colossians 2:3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;

Colossians 2:6 Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:

3. Before This Paul Prayed That The Colossians Had:

Colossians 2:9 ¶ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Colossians 2:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Colossians 2:11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Colossians 2:12 ¶ Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
